Senior Geoscientist - Remote

About the Role

This position involves the interpretation of geological and geophysical data to identify and evaluate potential oil and gas prospects. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic, well log, and other geophysical data to delineate subsurface structures and identify hydrocarbon potential.
• Integrate diverse geological datasets to build robust subsurface models and assess reservoir quality.
• Conduct geological risk assessments and contribute to prospect generation and maturation.
• Collaborate remotely with exploration teams, management, and partners to present findings and recommendations.
• Utilize advanced software for geological modeling, seismic interpretation, and data analysis.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies in geoscience and exploration.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geology, Geophysics, or a related earth science field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas exploration geoscience.
• Proficiency in seismic interpretation and geological modeling software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, sedimentology, and stratigraphy.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and cross-disciplinary communication skills.
