Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their dynamic, fully remote engineering team. This role is crucial for the successful planning and execution of projects requiring expert analysis of soil mechanics, foundation design, and ground stability. You will be responsible for managing complex geotechnical investigations, interpreting data, and providing robust design solutions to a diverse range of clients across various sectors, including construction, infrastructure, and energy. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, soil sampling, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze and interpret soil investigation data to determine ground conditions and assess risks.
• Design foundations (shallow and deep), retaining walls, slope stabilization measures, and earthworks.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, calculations, and drawings for client and regulatory submission.
• Provide expert technical advice and consultation on geotechnical matters to internal teams and external clients.
• Oversee junior geotechnical engineers and contribute to the development of their technical skills.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering principles.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar.
• Experience in managing projects and delivering technical reports to a high standard.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
