Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their remote-working team, supporting projects across the UK and internationally. This role focuses on assessing ground conditions and providing engineering solutions for the foundation design of offshore structures, pipelines, and onshore facilities. You will leverage cutting-edge software and your extensive experience to deliver robust geotechnical interpretations and designs. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and interpret site investigations, including desk studies, soil borings, and CPTs.
• Perform detailed geotechnical analyses for offshore foundations (e.g., monopiles, jackets) and onshore structures.
• Develop foundation design recommendations and produce comprehensive geotechnical reports.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Review and mentor the work of junior geotechnical engineers.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering , with a strong focus on the energy sector.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar.
• Solid understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and numerical modeling techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
