About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geothermal Energy Project Manager to lead key projects in Southampton . This critical role involves overseeing all phases of geothermal energy development, from initial exploration and feasibility studies through to construction and operational handover. You will be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex geothermal power and heating projects. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of geothermal energy projects, including feasibility, design, permitting, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop and meticulously manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for geothermal initiatives.
• Oversee site selection, geological surveys, and drilling operations in collaboration with specialist teams.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental regulations, and industry best practices for geothermal energy projects .
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, contractors, and investors.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Geological, Civil, Mechanical), Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the geothermal energy sector .
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale energy infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of geothermal resource assessment, drilling technologies, power plant design, and grid connection processes.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and risk management techniques.
