About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Golf Course Manager to oversee the maintenance and development of their prestigious golf course located in Leicester . You will lead a team of groundskeepers and greenkeepers, ensuring the course is maintained to the highest standards, enhancing the playing experience for all members and visitors. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive turf management programs , including fertilization, irrigation, pest control, and mowing strategies.
• Oversee the daily operations of the groundskeeping team, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
• Manage the course budget effectively, controlling costs for materials, equipment, and labour while ensuring optimal resource allocation.
• Plan and execute course improvement projects, including bunker renovations, drainage systems, and landscaping enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the course and within maintenance facilities.
• Maintain strong relationships with course stakeholders, including club management, members, and external suppliers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or similar senior management role in turf management.
• Extensive knowledge of agronomy, turfgrass science , and sustainable course maintenance practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proficiency in budget management and financial planning for course operations.
• Relevant horticultural or turf management qualifications are highly desirable.
