About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Golf Course Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic development of a premier golf facility in Leicester . This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of course conditioning, member satisfaction, and financial performance. You will lead a team of groundskeepers, customer service staff, and administrative personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment. This position requires a blend of horticultural expertise, business acumen, and a passion for delivering an exceptional golfing experience to members and visitors alike, contributing to the ongoing success and reputation of the club in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive course maintenance schedules, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control programs.
• Manage budgets for course operations, equipment, and staffing, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial targets are met.
• Oversee a team of groundskeepers, providing training, performance management, and motivation to achieve optimal results.
• Liaise with club management, committees, and members to address concerns and implement improvements to course facilities and services.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to golf course management.
• Plan and execute special projects, such as bunker renovations or drainage improvements, to enhance course playability and aesthetics.

Requirements

• Proven experience in golf course management or a related horticultural leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass science, agronomy, and best practices in course maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial oversight.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Relevant qualifications in horticulture, turf management, or business administration are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using modern groundskeeping equipment and management software.
