About the Role

Our client, a well-established and trendy hair salon in Portsmouth , is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Hair Stylist to lead their creative team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional client services, advising on styles and treatments, and contributing to the salon's reputation for high-quality work. As a senior stylist, you will also mentor junior team members and play a key role in maintaining the salon's chic atmosphere and excellent customer service in Portsmouth .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of hairdressing services, including cutting, colouring, highlighting, perming, and advanced styling techniques.
• Consult with clients to understand their hair needs, lifestyle, and desired aesthetic, offering professional recommendations.
• Perform high-quality colouring services using professional products and techniques.
• Ensure the salon environment is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior stylists, assisting with their skill development and client interactions.
• Stay updated with the latest hair trends, fashion, and techniques through ongoing education and industry events.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified Hair Stylist.
• Proven expertise in cutting, colouring, and styling for diverse hair types and textures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-management skills.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creative cutting, colouring, and styling work.
• Passion for the hairdressing industry and commitment to client satisfaction.
