Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join their innovative team in Cambridge . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex electronic hardware, including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOM creation.
- Perform detailed circuit analysis, simulation, and validation to ensure design integrity and performance.
- Select appropriate components, considering factors such as cost, availability, performance, and reliability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for hardware prototypes and production units.
- Collaborate closely with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues throughout the product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in hardware design and development.
- Strong proficiency in analog and digital circuit design , power electronics, and embedded systems.
- Expertise in using ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD) for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, hybrid environment .
