Senior HGV Driver - Long Distance

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and reliable Senior HGV Driver to undertake long-distance transport operations, based out of their Bristol facility. This role is vital for ensuring the efficient movement of goods across the UK, demanding a high level of professionalism, driving expertise, and adherence to strict regulations. You will be entrusted with significant responsibilities for the vehicle, cargo, and schedule, representing our client with integrity on the road.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV (Class 1 or 2) vehicle for long-distance transport of goods throughout the UK.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of products to designated destinations.
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections before, during, and after journeys.
• Manage and secure cargo effectively, ensuring it arrives in pristine condition.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork, including delivery notes, logs, and customs documentation where applicable.
• Adhere to Working Time Directive regulations and all road safety laws.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving license .
• Current Driver CPC and Digi-card.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an HGV driver, preferably with long-distance routes.
• Excellent driving skills and a proven track record of safety.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and tachograph regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively for long journeys.
