Senior HR Advisor Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Full-time | Permanent Are you an experienced HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor looking for a varied, hands-on role where you can make a real impact? We are seeking an experienced HR professional to provide proactive, commercially focused HR advice and support to managers and employees across the organisation. The role will have a strong focus on employee relations, alongside generalist HR support, HR projects and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability, flexible working, investigations and appeals.
- Advise, coach and support managers through formal and informal HR processes.
- Provide practical HR advice while ensuring compliance with UK employment law and company policies.
- Identify and manage potential employee relations risks.
- Draft HR correspondence, reports and outcome letters.
- Build effective relationships with managers and employees at all levels.
- Support organisational change, workforce planning and HR projects.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
- Support employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, contractual changes and leavers.
- Contribute to improving HR processes and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to junior HR colleagues where required.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or HR Generalist.
- Strong experience managing ER cases from start to finish.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience advising and coaching managers.
- Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A pragmatic, commercially minded and resilient approach.
- Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate employee records. CIPD Level 5 or working towards this is desirable, as is experience supporting organisational change, HR projects or process improvement.
