Senior HR Officer

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly organised and experienced Senior HR Officer to enhance their HR operations in Belfast . This role involves providing comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee development and performance management. You will act as a key point of contact for line managers, offering expert guidance on HR best practices and employment law. This is an excellent opportunity to take on more responsibility within a respected organisation and contribute significantly to the effectiveness of their people management strategies in Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex employee relations cases, investigations, and disciplinary procedures.
• Oversee recruitment processes, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing onboarding.
• Develop and deliver HR training to managers on topics such as performance management and legal compliance.
• Support the HR Manager in developing and implementing HR policies and initiatives.
• Analyse HR data and prepare reports to inform strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to projects related to employee engagement, talent development, and organisational change.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a senior HR advisory or officer role.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
• Proven ability to handle employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong skills in recruitment, talent management, and HR project support.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• CIPD Level 5 or above qualification is preferred.
