Senior HSE Advisor

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking company within the Oil & Gas sector , is seeking a proactive Senior HSE Advisor to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance at their operations in Brighton . This role is critical in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures to foster a strong safety culture. You will conduct site assessments, provide expert advice, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE management systems and strategies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees at all levels.
• Advise project teams and management on HSE risks and mitigation measures.
• Maintain HSE records and prepare reports for regulatory bodies and internal management.

Requirements

• Recognized HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 4/5 in HSE).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry or a similarly regulated sector.
• In-depth knowledge of UK HSE legislation and industry best practices.
• Proven experience in risk assessment, HAZOP studies, and incident investigation.
• Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
