About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join their team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role is integral to ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across the organization's diverse operations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE strategies, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice and support to management and employees on all HSE matters.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to raise awareness and competency across the workforce.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external agencies on HSE-related issues.
Requirements
- Relevant degree or diploma in Health, Safety, and Environmental Management (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar HSE Advisor role, preferably within the industrial or energy sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and developing safe systems of work.
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
