Senior HSE Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Senior HSE Advisor to join their team in Norwich . This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental strategies across the organization's operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing risks to employees, the public, and the environment. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to management and staff, driving continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and identify potential hazards.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Advise management on HSE risks and legal obligations, ensuring best practices are adopted.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare reports for regulatory bodies and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is essential.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar HSE advisory role, preferably within the energy or industrial sector.
• In-depth knowledge of UK HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety auditing.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to drive HSE initiatives within Norwich and associated sites.
