Senior HSE Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to champion health, safety, and environmental standards across their facilities in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK . This vital role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and regulatory compliance. You will conduct risk assessments, deliver training, and lead incident investigations, playing a critical role in fostering a proactive safety culture. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in HSE legislation and best practices, with a strong commitment to preventing accidents and promoting sustainable operations within the industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's HSE management system.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Perform risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and job safety analyses.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels.
• Advise management on HSE matters and ensure effective implementation of HSE initiatives.

Requirements

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE advisory role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Thorough knowledge of UK HSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety procedures.
• Strong communication, influencing, and report-writing skills.
