Senior HSE Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join their team in Sunderland . You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE management systems aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Advise management on HSE matters, providing recommendations for continuous improvement in safety performance.
• Maintain accurate records of HSE performance, including incident statistics and audit findings.

Requirements

• Recognized professional qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma).
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar HSE Advisor role , preferably within the oil and gas or heavy industrial sector.
• Thorough knowledge of UK HSE legislation and regulations.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing risk assessment methodologies and safe work procedures.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
