About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join their team in Sunderland . This vital role ensures the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across all company operations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE management systems aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Advise management on HSE matters, providing recommendations for continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE performance, including incident statistics and audit findings.
Requirements
- Recognized professional qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar HSE Advisor role , preferably within the oil and gas or heavy industrial sector.
- Thorough knowledge of UK HSE legislation and regulations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk assessment methodologies and safe work procedures.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
