About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HSE Manager to join their team in Bristol, South West England, UK . This vital leadership role will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive health, safety, and environmental strategies across the organization. You will champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and industry best practices. This position is ideal for a seasoned HSE professional who can drive continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental stewardship within the dynamic oil and gas industry .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all national and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to all levels of staff.
- Manage emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Promote a positive and proactive HSE culture throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably in the oil and gas sector .
- In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management techniques, and safety standards.
- Experience with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and occupational health standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent are highly desirable.
