About the Role
Our client seeks a strategic and experienced Senior HSE Manager to enhance their health, safety, and environmental performance across operations in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This leadership role is crucial for developing and implementing comprehensive HSE strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and foster a robust safety culture within the oil and gas industry . You will lead a dedicated team, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in all HSE aspects, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the company's projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system.
- Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
- Advise management on HSE risks and best practices, promoting a proactive safety culture.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably within the oil and gas sector .
- Professional certification such as CMIOSH (Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and international HSE standards.
- Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
