About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Senior Hygiene Compliance Officer to join their dedicated team in Birmingham . This role is crucial for ensuring that all cleaning and sanitation protocols meet stringent industry and regulatory standards across our facilities. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and auditing comprehensive hygiene management systems, providing expert guidance to site teams, and driving continuous improvement in sanitation practices. This position offers a blend of on-site assessment and remote administrative duties, contributing significantly to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures across all operational sites.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and relevant legislation (e.g., COSHH).
- Investigate and report on any hygiene-related incidents or non-compliance issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide expert training and support to cleaning staff and management on best practices in hygiene and sanitation.
- Monitor and analyze cleaning performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and certification bodies as required, ensuring smooth and successful audits.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on hygiene, sanitation, and compliance .
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning and environmental services.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs related to hygiene protocols.
- Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- Strong reporting and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to various stakeholders.
- Relevant certification in food hygiene, infection control, or health and safety is highly desirable.
