About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Execute advanced cleaning and deep sanitization procedures on various surfaces and equipment.
• Operate and maintain specialized cleaning machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct regular checks and audits to verify compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist in the training and guidance of junior cleaning staff.
• Manage cleaning supplies inventory and report needs to the facilities manager.
• Respond efficiently to emergency cleaning requests and maintain records of all cleaning activities.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a cleaning operative or hygiene technician, with demonstrable skills.
• Proficiency in using a wide range of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., COSHH).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to strict standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining facility standards in Reading .
