Job Description

Salary: Up to £45,000, depending on experience
Plus: Discretionary annual bonus (~10%) and a strong benefits package (below)
The Role
This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced Client Account Manager who is ready to step up: someone who combines first-class IFA administration with the organisational rigour of a high-calibre PA and who can lead by example.
You will be the operational backbone for two senior financial advisers who together look after around 150 clients, owning the pre- and post-sales support that keep those relationships running smoothly. At the same time, you will lead and develop a small team of Client Account Managers, setting the standard, running the rhythm of the week, and bringing colleagues on through coaching and structured development.
This is a player-coach role. You will still do the work and do it brilliantly; you will also raise the people around you.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Adviser Support (the foundation of the role)
- Act as the senior point of administrative support for two advisers and their ~150 clients, delivering pre- and post-sales support of the highest quality and consistency.
- Build exceptional relationships with clients, ensuring clear, proactive communication so they have full confidence that their instructions are understood and will be delivered upon.
- Own complex and sensitive cases personally, handling difficult or emotive conversations with empathy, discretion and composure.
- Live Finura's commitment to getting things right first time, reducing the administrative burden on clients and advisers alike.
- Lead a small team of Client Account Managers, setting the standard for quality, accuracy and exceptional client experience.
- Run the weekly team huddle, keeping work prioritised, visible and on track.
- Hold quarterly one-to-ones, a mid-year review and a formal annual appraisal with each team member.
- Identify development needs, deliver and arrange training, and create opportunities for the team to cross-skill and grow.
Organisation & Operations
- Bring the planning, coordination and anticipation of a senior PA: managing workflow, deadlines, documentation and follow-through so nothing slips.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
- Prepare accurate, well-presented documentation, templates and reports to Finura's brand guidelines.
- Keep concise, reliable minutes of relevant meetings, projects and appraisals.
- Continually seek greater efficiencies in processes and procedures, deploying solutions to problems before they arise.
Systems, Compliance & Technical
- Ensure the client experience is built around Finura's online client portal, using its full CRM capability to capture relevant details and deliver a personalised, proactive service that misses zero advice opportunities, while looking for ways to get more out of the system.
- Work with awareness of relevant FCA regulations and guidelines, including MiFID II, GDPR and PRIIPs.
- Apply a working knowledge of core financial products: pensions, ISAs, Investment Accounts, Bonds, Venture Capital Trusts, Enterprise Investment Schemes and all forms of protection.
About You
Experience
- 7-10 years' experience in an IFA, wealth management or financial planning firm in an administration or client-support role.
- A track record of owning client and adviser relationships, not just processing tasks.
- Experience mentoring, supervising or leading colleagues. Formal line management is welcome, but a genuine appetite to lead is what matters most.
Skills & knowledge
- Working knowledge of core financial products and of FCA regulation (MiFID II, GDPR, PRIIPs).
- Strong technical proficiency across Adobe, Word, Excel and Outlook, plus the confidence to get quickly up to speed with CRM and other systems and exploit their full capability.
- PA-grade organisation: exceptional planning, prioritisation and attention to detail under your own initiative.
- A fantastic verbal communicator and presenter, comfortable holding difficult conversations with warmth and clarity.
How you work
- Self-starting, proactive and solutions-focused: you spot problems and opportunities before they land on someone's desk.
- Adaptable, intuitive and keen to learn, with a commitment to your own continual professional development.
- Impeccable attention to detail and respect for the Finura brand.
- The discretion and judgement to handle confidential information appropriately and to act on it where required.
Industry qualifications are supported and encouraged but are not a requirement for this role; we value demonstrated experience and capability.
- Salary up to £45,000, depending on experience
- Discretionary annual bonus up to 10%, based on personal and business performance
- Pension with a strong employer contribution (up to 8%)
- 4x salary death-in-service cover
- Private Medical Insurance (through Vitality)
- Permanent Health Insurance / income protection
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 additional days
- Access to Heka, a personal wellbeing and experiences platform and wellbeing allowance
- Paid charity volunteering / business charity days
- Match Charitable giving via CAF salary sacrifice scheme
- Salary Sacrifice - Childcare via Yellow Nest
- Support for further industry recognised qualifications and professional development, including study and financial support
- Cycle to work scheme
- Flexible, hybrid working: 2-3 days per week in the London office
