About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer with a strong focus on continuous improvement to join their team in Plymouth . This role is dedicated to analyzing operational processes, implementing lean methodologies, and driving efficiency gains across the organization. You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for waste reduction, process optimization, and productivity enhancement, working closely with various departments to implement and sustain improvements. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles and a proven ability to lead change initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas.
- Utilize lean manufacturing tools and techniques, such as Kaizen events, 5S, value stream mapping, and Poka-Yoke.
- Analyze production data and operational metrics to identify root causes of inefficiencies and develop data-driven solutions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
- Train and mentor employees at all levels on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Track the progress and impact of improvement projects, reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost savings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering , with a significant focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing lean initiatives and achieving measurable results.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience with process mapping, data analysis, and statistical tools.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse teams.
