Senior Industrial Engineer - Facilities Management

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Engineer to lead efforts in optimizing facility operations and infrastructure in Edinburgh . Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current facility layouts, workflows, and operational procedures to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and safety .

• Apply Lean principles and simulation techniques to optimize plant operations and reduce waste.
• Oversee projects related to facility upgrades, equipment installation, and process redesign.
• Collaborate with facilities management, operations, and EHS teams to ensure compliance and implement best practices.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for facility operations, reporting on progress and recommending strategic actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering , with a significant focus on facilities management and operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of facility design, layout planning, and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Proven experience in project management, leading cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software, including CAD and simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a hybrid setting in Edinburgh .
