Senior Industrial Engineer - Logistics

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Industrial Engineer to lead their logistics and distribution operations in Liverpool . This role requires a strategic thinker who can optimize the movement of goods, improve warehouse efficiency, and reduce transportation costs. You will analyze complex logistical challenges, develop innovative solutions, and oversee their implementation to enhance the overall supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize all aspects of the company's logistics operations , including warehousing, inventory control, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels within the supply chain.
• Analyze freight data, carrier performance, and routing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Design and implement efficient warehouse layouts and material handling systems.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate proposed logistical changes.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate contracts.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong emphasis on logistics and supply chain management.
• Proven expertise in warehouse operations , inventory management, and transportation optimization.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling software.
• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
