About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Industrial Engineer to drive operational excellence within their facilities in Bristol . This role focuses on implementing and refining processes to achieve peak performance, efficiency, and quality. You will take the lead on significant improvement projects, utilizing advanced analytical techniques and methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing and operational systems, and a proven track record of successfully implementing change. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operational processes.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of operational data to identify root causes of problems and develop data-driven solutions.
- Develop and implement standardized work procedures, best practices, and performance metrics.
- Mentor and coach operational teams on process improvement techniques and tools.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance operational capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful integration of improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial engineering or operational excellence roles.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Black Belt certification strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex process improvement projects from start to finish.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with performance metrics development and reporting.
