About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Supply Chain to join their team in Southampton . This role is crucial for optimizing our client's logistics network, warehouse operations, and overall supply chain efficiency. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving processes that reduce costs, enhance speed, and improve accuracy throughout the supply chain. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize the entire supply chain network, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement process improvements using lean principles and data-driven methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Design and model optimal warehouse layouts, material flow, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with logistics partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate proposed supply chain changes.
- Develop performance metrics and dashboards to track key supply chain KPIs and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on supply chain and logistics.
- Proven experience in optimizing warehouse operations, transportation logistics, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in data analysis, simulation software, and supply chain modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
