Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join their esteemed operations team in Reading . This role is critical for driving strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing overall production efficiency, optimizing resource allocation, and reducing operational costs within their advanced manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for leading complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and implementing state-of-the-art industrial engineering techniques to maintain a competitive edge. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical aptitude and a proven history of successful process transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of long-term strategies for operational excellence and efficiency improvements.
• Design and optimize manufacturing processes, facility layouts, and material handling systems to maximize throughput and minimize costs.
• Conduct in-depth analysis using statistical methods and simulation tools to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies and automation solutions to enhance productivity and safety.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of industrial engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a focus on manufacturing and operations.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt certification highly desirable), and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim), statistical analysis tools, and CAD.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
