Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team, offering a flexible remote working arrangement. This role is critical for driving innovation in process design, operational efficiency, and productivity enhancements across their various sites. You will leverage advanced analytical skills, Lean principles, and strategic thinking to tackle complex challenges and implement impactful solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineer to lead significant improvement projects and influence operational strategy from a remote perspective, based in or near Reading .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of complex manufacturing and business processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement comprehensive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies across the organization.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and operational staff on best practices in process improvement and engineering.
• Conduct detailed feasibility studies and financial analyses for proposed process changes and capital investments.
• Collaborate effectively with remote and on-site stakeholders, including management, operations, and R&D teams, to ensure project success.
• Utilize advanced simulation and modeling tools to predict process performance and identify optimal solutions.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a significant focus on process optimization and project leadership.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Proficiency with advanced simulation software, statistical analysis tools, and project management platforms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, particularly in a remote or hybrid setting.
