Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join their progressive operations team in Glasgow . This role is critical for driving operational efficiency and implementing innovative solutions across their diverse manufacturing processes. You will take the lead on complex projects, analyze performance data, and develop strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity, contributing significantly to the company's continuous improvement efforts and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency and throughput.
• Conduct detailed analysis of operational data, identifying trends and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance productivity.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant floor.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing expertise and promoting best practices in industrial engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process improvement.
• Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma methodologies, and value stream mapping.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
