About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Industrial Process Engineer to join their fully remote team, operating primarily out of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK . This role is central to enhancing and optimizing our global manufacturing and operational processes. You will be tasked with analyzing complex systems, developing innovative solutions, and leading implementation efforts to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and redesign of manufacturing and operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Utilize advanced statistical analysis and simulation tools to model process improvements and predict outcomes.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives across various remote operational sites.
- Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and R&D, to ensure successful project execution and adoption of new methodologies.
- Create detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practice guidelines for a remote workforce .
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex process engineering challenges.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering , focusing on manufacturing and operations optimization.
- Deep understanding and practical application of lean principles , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead initiatives in a remote setting .
- Strong virtual communication and collaboration skills, able to effectively influence stakeholders across different locations.
