Senior Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This pivotal role involves protecting the organization's digital assets by identifying and mitigating security risks. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust security strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive information security programs and policies.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Monitor security systems, analyze logs, and respond effectively to security incidents and breaches.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into system design and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity roles.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption).
• Proven experience with risk management and incident response procedures.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
