Senior Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Information Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of their security infrastructure. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be responsible for creating secure, scalable, and resilient security solutions that align with business objectives and protect against sophisticated threats. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern security architectures, cloud technologies, and threat landscapes, driving innovation and best practices within a forward-thinking, remote-first organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the organization's information security architecture , ensuring it meets business needs and security requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the overall security posture.
• Develop and document security standards, guidelines, and best practices for system design and deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate security controls throughout the software development lifecycle and infrastructure.
• Lead threat modeling exercises and design security controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineers and analysts within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field; Master's degree or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
• 10+ years of experience in information security , with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of network security, cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and security operations.
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and relevant compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills, crucial for a remote leadership role.
