Senior Information Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Engineer with a specialization in Cloud Security to join their fully remote engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls and solutions across their cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure). You will play a key part in ensuring the security, integrity, and compliance of cloud-based applications and data, working proactively to identify and mitigate risks in dynamic cloud environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure), including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management for cloud infrastructure and services.
• Implement and manage security monitoring, logging, and incident response capabilities in the cloud.
• Automate security processes and controls using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure secure cloud deployments and operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security engineering.
• Proven experience securing AWS and/or Azure environments.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, network security groups, encryption, and threat detection.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are a plus.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with security automation.
