Senior Information Security Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Information Security Engineer to join their fully remote security operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions that protect our client's infrastructure and data. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM systems.
• Lead incident response activities, performing deep-dive investigations and coordinating remediation efforts.
• Develop and automate security processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct security architecture reviews and provide guidance on secure system design.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, proactively implementing countermeasures.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in information security engineering or a similar role.
• Deep understanding of network security principles, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and system hardening.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with vulnerability management and security monitoring tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members.
