Senior Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and accomplished Senior Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to manage and mature their security programs from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive security strategies, managing security risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, and the ability to build and mentor a high-performing security team, driving a culture of proactive security across the entire organization in a distributed work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's information security strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of information security risks across the enterprise.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual security requirements.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Manage security incident response planning and execution, ensuring swift and effective resolution of breaches.
• Oversee the procurement and implementation of security technologies and services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and executing enterprise-wide security strategies and programs.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and risk management principles.
• Demonstrated experience in managing security operations, incident response, and compliance initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly preferred for this remote leadership position.
