About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their highly regarded consultancy, offering a fully remote working opportunity based in or around Reading . This role is integral to managing and delivering complex infrastructure projects, from initial feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support. You will take a leading role in project coordination, client liaison, and technical quality assurance, ensuring the successful completion of projects across the Berkshire region and beyond. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of major infrastructure projects, including highways, drainage, and utilities.
- Manage project teams, timelines, budgets, and client relationships effectively.
- Conduct site feasibility studies, option appraisals, and develop strategic infrastructure plans.
- Ensure all designs adhere to the latest UK standards, regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for complex schemes.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff, fostering technical excellence within the team.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering and project management.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is essential.
- Expertise in highway design , stormwater management , and utility coordination .
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
