About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their forward-thinking team, supporting projects across Northern Ireland from their Belfast base. This role is critical for overseeing the technical integrity and successful delivery of diverse infrastructure projects, from initial concept through to construction and handover. You will be instrumental in providing expert guidance, managing complex technical challenges, and ensuring adherence to the highest engineering standards. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive engineer to take on significant responsibility, mentor developing talent, and contribute to shaping the built environment in a fully remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex infrastructure projects, including highways, utilities, and site development.
- Undertake detailed feasibility studies, option appraisals, and cost estimations for proposed works.
- Ensure all designs comply with national and international standards, environmental regulations, and health & safety legislation.
- Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets effectively, reporting progress to senior management and clients.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and external consultants to ensure project objectives are met and strong working relationships are maintained.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years' post-graduate experience in infrastructure engineering , with a strong portfolio of delivered projects.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng MICE) is highly advantageous.
- Expertise in using industry-standard design software, including Civil 3D and drainage modelling tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of planning, environmental, and construction regulations in the UK.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills, with proven ability to work independently.
