Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their thriving consultancy in Sunderland , operating under a flexible hybrid model. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the detailed design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including drainage, highways, and site development.
- Perform complex calculations and analysis for structural elements and site infrastructure.
- Ensure projects meet all relevant design standards, planning conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project delivery, including programming, cost control, and resource allocation, in coordination with project managers.
- Review designs prepared by other engineers and provide constructive feedback.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and statutory undertakers to achieve project approvals and successful outcomes.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 6 years of post-graduate experience.
- Membership in a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE) is highly valued.
- Proven experience in the design and management of drainage, highway, and land remediation schemes.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD , Civil 3D , and MicroDrainage .
- Strong knowledge of planning policy, building regulations, and environmental considerations.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, adept at working in a hybrid environment.
