About the Role
Our client, a forward-thinking company at the forefront of energy technology and automation , is seeking a highly experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is pivotal in the design, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems that are essential for the safe and efficient operation of complex industrial processes. You will leverage your expertise in sensor technology, calibration, and data acquisition to ensure the accuracy and reliability of critical measurements across diverse projects. The position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can work autonomously and contribute to innovative solutions in the energy sector .
Key Responsibilities
- Design, specify, and select instrumentation for various industrial applications, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement.
- Develop calibration procedures and ensure the ongoing accuracy and reliability of measurement devices.
- Implement and maintain control system instrumentation , including transmitters, valves, and analyzers.
- Oversee the integration of instrumentation with SCADA and DCS systems.
- Perform root cause analysis for instrumentation failures and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and field technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems , preferably within the energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of process instrumentation , hazardous area classifications, and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
- Proficiency in reading P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control philosophies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment .
