About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join their operations in Derby . This role is central to the design, implementation, and maintenance of sophisticated instrumentation and control systems essential for the safe and efficient operation of their facilities within the energy sector . You will provide expert technical support, manage projects, and ensure the reliability and accuracy of critical measurement and control loops. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to vital industrial processes and drive innovation in control system technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, specify, and select instrumentation and control systems for new projects and upgrades.
- Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment.
- Develop and maintain P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control philosophies.
- Provide technical leadership and support for maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations for instrumentation and control systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience as an Instrumentation Engineer , preferably within the process industries or energy sector.
- Proficiency with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of safety instrumented systems (SIS) and functional safety.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience managing projects.
