We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team atourHead Office, Albany House in Eastbourne.You will play a key part inmaintaining,securingand developing the technology infrastructure that keeps Brewers running smoothly and our colleagues connected.
As a key member of the team, you will combine handson technicalexpertisewith technical and process leadership. You will helpmaintainand improve our core infrastructure while setting standards, guiding good practiceand coaching the IT Operations Engineers who support services across Brewers.This is ahandsontechnical role that brings together infrastructureexpertise, serviceimprovementand operational resilience. Working closely with colleagues across the business,suppliersand technology partners, you will help ensure our systems remain secure,reliableand fit for the future.
This role is suited to an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving ways of working and supporting others to develop. Keyobjectivesin this role include:
- Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of our core IT infrastructure and operational services
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues, majorincidentsand service disruptions
- Providetechnical guidance, day-to-day coaching and mentoring to IT Operations Engineers
- Drive infrastructure improvements that enhance security, resilience,performanceand operational efficiency
- Lead or supporthighrisktechnical changes, ensuring robust planning, testing,implementationand postchange review
- Support disaster recovery, businesscontinuityand operational governance activities
- Work closely with suppliers and technology partners tomaintainservice quality and deliver successful outcomes
- Contribute to infrastructure projects from design and implementation through to support transition and ongoing optimisation
Who we are looking for:
- Significant infrastructure engineering experience across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, endpoint management and identity and access technologies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint,OneDriveand Defender for Endpoint
- Proven experience managing technical escalations and restoring critical services in a live operational environment
- Experienceprovidingtechnical guidance, coaching and support within an infrastructure or technical support team
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, disaster recovery, businesscontinuityand operational best practice
- Experience planning and delivering infrastructure changes, processimprovementsand service improvement activity
- Excellent communication,troubleshootingand problem-solving skills
- Experience using PowerShell or similar automation tools
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to our sites whenrequired
