Senior IT Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to join their technology division in Reading . This role is vital for leading complex IT transformation projects, ensuring successful delivery of new systems, infrastructure enhancements, and strategic technology initiatives. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of these projects, working closely with technical teams, business units, and external partners to achieve strategic objectives in the bustling tech hub of Reading .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of significant IT projects and programmes.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
• Oversee and mentor project teams, ensuring adherence to project management best practices .
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular, clear, and concise project updates.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in managing complex IT projects , including infrastructure and software development.
• Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies .
• Proven experience in managing large project budgets and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with major ERP or CRM implementations is a significant advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is required.
