About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer to join their enterprise applications team in Derby . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance enterprise-level software solutions. This role requires a strong command of Java and related frameworks, a deep understanding of software architecture, and the ability to work collaboratively within an agile development environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable enterprise applications using Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, testers, and product managers, to define and deliver software solutions.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure system stability and efficiency.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to code quality.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and technical growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in core Java and popular frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
