Senior Java Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to enhance their software engineering capabilities in Reading . You will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable enterprise-level applications using the Java ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-performance, scalable applications using Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with other systems.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and QA engineers, to deliver features on time and to specification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in the Java programming language and popular frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Proficiency in working with databases (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL) and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
