Senior Lawyer - Energy and Infrastructure (Interim)

Simmons and Hanbury have been instructed by a leading energy business on a Senior Legal Counsel interim hire into their top tier legal team in London.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Legal Counsel you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the legal and compliance of the group both regionally and globally. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Playing a critical role in providing legal support on projects/deals in the energy sector.
• Support financing activities, including due diligence, loan agreements, and security documentation.
• Provide support on a variety of contracts and agreements icluding share purchase agreements, JV agreements, projects agreements and construction agreements.
• Work and advise on contentious matters.

Experience Requirements

• Circa 8+ years PQE either from top tier private practice or in-house.
• In-house experience (either from a secondment or prior role) highly desirable.
• Strong exposure to oil and gas M&A
• Excellent academic record
• Ambitious, motivated, ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment.
