Senior Lead – AI Enablement for Lawyers

A leading US law firm is looking for a Senior Lead – AI Enablement to join a newly formed, high profile Legal Technology & Enablement team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, AI Acceleration & Lawyer Enablement, this is a senior regional leadership role focused on helping lawyers adopt and embed AI and legal technology into their everyday work.

You will act as the London lead for AI enablement, working closely with senior technology and business stakeholders and having significant autonomy to shape the programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the AI enablement and change management strategy for the London office.
• Drive adoption of generative AI and legal technology across lawyers and practice groups.
• Design and deliver AI academies, workshops, training programmes, hackathons and adoption campaigns.
• Help lawyers understand how AI can be applied across areas including legal research, drafting, document review, due diligence and knowledge management.
• Build trusted relationships with partners, associates, practice managers and senior stakeholders.
• Identify barriers to adoption and develop targeted change and communication strategies.
• Use adoption and usage data to measure progress, identify gaps and focus enablement activity.
• Work collaboratively with Legal Technology, Professional Development, Training and other business teams.
• Act as the key point of contact for AI enablement across London, providing regular updates on progress, risks and opportunities.
• Support AI experimentation and innovation with practice groups.
• Stay current with emerging AI and legal technology developments and their potential application within a law-firm environment.
• Deliver engaging training to audiences ranging from individual lawyers through to large practice groups.
• Travel to other European offices when required.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in legal technology, innovation, enablement, training or change management.
• Experience within a law firm, professional services or similarly complex knowledge-based environment.
• A strong understanding of lawyer workflows and technology adoption.
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI and legal technology platforms.
• A proven track record of driving technology adoption and behavioural change.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the credibility to work with senior lawyers.
• Strong communication, facilitation and programme management skills.
• Experience using adoption analytics and user data to measure and improve engagement.
• The ability to operate autonomously while working collaboratively across a global organisation.
• Confidence delivering both 1:1 and group-based training.
