About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. This pivotal role will involve providing comprehensive legal advice and support across a range of commercial matters, contributing directly to the company's strategic objectives. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will be an integral part of a forward-thinking legal department that values autonomy, expertise, and collaborative problem-solving, ensuring that legal risks are effectively managed and opportunities are leveraged, all while fostering a culture of continuous professional development and knowledge sharing within a globally connected team.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
- Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management issues pertinent to the legal sector.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support business decisions and develop legal strategies.
- Manage and resolve legal disputes and litigation, liaising with external counsel as required.
- Advise on intellectual property matters, data protection, and privacy compliance.
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of UK corporate law and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse caseload effectively in a remote setting.
