About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic operations team based in Leicester . You will be instrumental in managing a fleet and coordinating with drivers and clients to maintain seamless supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments to adhere to deadlines and quality standards.
• Coordinate and manage a team of drivers, assigning routes and ensuring compliance with transport regulations.
• Utilise logistics software to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimise delivery routes for efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including costs, delivery times, and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics operations to reduce costs and enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity.
• Strong understanding of transportation management systems and fleet management principles.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office Suite and logistics planning tools .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and clients.
