About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their dynamic team in Birmingham . You will play a critical role in developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models that drive key business decisions and product features. This role involves working closely with data scientists and software engineers to build robust, scalable ML pipelines and production systems. You'll contribute to the entire ML lifecycle, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment, making a tangible impact on our client's technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning models and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement robust data pipelines for model training and inference.
- Collaborate with data scientists to deploy models into production environments.
- Monitor model performance in production and implement improvements as needed.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for ML systems.
- Optimize machine learning algorithms and data processing for performance and scalability.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or software development with a focus on ML.
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data structures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
