Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their dynamic team in Birmingham . You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated machine learning models and systems that drive our client's innovative products and services. This hybrid role combines the flexibility of remote work with the collaborative energy of in-office team interactions. You will work on challenging problems, contributing to the entire ML lifecycle from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment in production environments, ensuring scalability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and deploy production-ready machine learning models using various algorithms and frameworks.
• Implement and optimize data pipelines for large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity for ML applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into existing and new product features.
• Monitor and maintain deployed ML systems, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and issues.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of scalable and robust machine learning infrastructure.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or a related role.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, data mining, and software development best practices.
